Parents First Aid
This course will provide parents with an overview of some common childhood illnesses and provides a demonstration of Paediatric CPR skills.
Who is this course for?:
This course is for parents who want to gain some knowledge and confidence in dealing with their childs everyday illnesses and recognising some childhood emergencies. It is not recommended for individuals who require a first aid or CPR skills certification- those individuals should look at the CFR, FAR and Paediatric CFR and FAR also available at ACL Safety Training.

- Principals of First aid
- Some common childhood illnesses and injuries
- Paediatric Emergencies
- CPR / AED Demonstration – Infants and Children
- Choking Demonstration– Infants and Children
- First Aid Kit for the home
Course Duration: 3hrs
Certification: Certificate in First Aid Skills for Parents from ACL Safety Training
Paediatric First Aid
This course will teach participants how to effectively deliver First Aid care to young children and infants.
This Paediatric First Aid course has been designed to cover a broad base of topics that include common paediatric accidents and illnesses as well as paediatric emergencies such as choking and cardiac arrest. Participants will learn practical skills and theoretical knowledge, so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise at home, in work environment or at a sport or other activity club
Our first aid courses are delivered by an instructor who is a qualified Paediatric Health Professional and an accrediated First Aid Responder
Who should attend:
This course is ideally focused towards any teacher, parent, guardian, childcare worker , childrens activity group leaders or child minders

Assessment: Short theory test and practical skills assessment
Certification: Certificate in Paediatric First Aid valid for 2 years
